As a result of that need .... the 4C3H Jet Tail Twynzer was created.

Oscar is quickly becoming a staple around the glassing ship.

(sorry, UFO pun)  

We first met Oscar about three months ago when he contacted us about doing some glassing work for him.

He's from mainland Mexico and makes routine trips down there with used boards in hand for the locals.

We are waiting to get some pictures of him surfing his local breaks in his home town.

Meanwhile...

a super-custom 6'10 x 22" x 3"

is being shaped for him.

Pretty sleek for a big board!!

Adriano de Souza wins Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2011

 

Hoyte Designs congratulates Adriano de Souza on his win in the Rip Curl Pro in Portugal today,

beating Kelly Slater in the Finals with close scores.

Adriano de Souza (BRA) 15.67 def. Kelly Slater (USA) 14.73

World class beach break. Epic surf. Packed beach. And a sunset final.

What more could we the spectators ask for?

Kelly and Taj met again in the semis with Kelly scoring a perfect 10 on a backside barrel advancing him to the finals.

Adriano beat Bede Durbidge to secure his final spot.

And eventually, the win!

Congratulations to all surfers and we are looking forward to seeing you all in November at Ocean Beach, San Francisco.
