Production Shaping

I have been and still am very fortunate to work for major companies as a ghost shaper.

I have been able to spend valuable time with some of the best shapers in the world honing my skills to create quality boards.

Production shaping is like marathon training.
It takes months and even years to cross certain hurdles.

For most shapers the first hurdle is 12-13 consistent boards a day.
16-18 boards day after day is quite a feat.
23-25 a day everyday is a marathon.
5 days a week straight for months at a time.

34 boards is my personal best.
Whew!
*sweat*

These pictures are some of what I accomplish in a day.

For me, the tricky part is being a production shaper for two or three different companies with different models and sizes.

These three pictures individually represent what I do in a day.

But my first love of shaping is  ......   My own designs!
This is where I get the greatest satisfaction!!

PS: Longboard contest winner will be announced tomorrow!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Keep praying for Japan. Our hearts are tender and broken for the people there.
